About This Website
The Story
Around three years ago I started experimenting with web design. My sister told me about this web site called The Express Page. EP made it easy for amateurs to make their own web pages. So, using EP's online page building tool, I made a bunch of little web pages. It was really fun. During that time I made the first version of "Josh's Website" and posted some links and stuff. After a while, it died down.
So I started to learn to use a program called Dreamweaver and sort of relaunched the site. I found out about a service (which no longer exists) that offered free dot-com names, so I registered Shwaddy.com (Shwaddy was a nickname from my friends). That was cool. Even though nobody ever really visited it, I posted news almost every day. As history repeats itself, that died down, too.
Around a year later, a family friend gave a program called FrontPage (which I still use) to build web sites with. With that, I built up Shwaddy.com Web Design, to have a home for my web design services. Well, after a while, Shwaddy.com expired and I didn't have jack crap.
So I decided to forget about all that and just go back to basic "Josh's Website", which you have before you. I've decided to cut the junk and give you the goodies, with a smaller use of effects/colors. I don't know what's going to happen in the future, but for now, this is my home on the web.
Technical
I created this website using Microsoft Notepad. The source is valid HTML. For the layout and cool-looking stuff, I used CSS (highly recommended for Web developers). For the images, I used Ulead PhotoImpact.
This whole project didn't cost me a dime, practically; only time, care and very very interesting ideas.
